Barracuda Email Archive Multi Factor

How can I set up multifactor authentication for Barracuda email archiving?

  1. Make sure you have the Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile phone (same app as for 2-factor login to Citrix)
  2. Open a browser within the Bellevue Workplace (Citrix) and go to https://sso.barracuda.com/u/login and select "Sign in with Microsoft":

-> After that, you may need to enter your Bellevue email address and continue.

  1. Within the Barracuda Portal, go to "Settings" and then "Add New Device":
  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device and add a new "Work or School" account. Select "Scan QR code," follow the instructions displayed with the QR code, scan the QR code, and enter the code and a device name.

Your Barracuda multifactor authentication will now be added to Microsoft Authenticator

  1. Now open your Outlook and go to File (top right in Outlook) and then select "Barracuda Networks" followed by "Configure":
  1. Press "Log out" and "OK":
  2. Then click on "Log in":
  3. Enter your email address and your Bellevue password:
  4. Then an error message will appear which you can confirm with OK:

You will now see an additional input field, "MFA Code". Enter your email address, Bellevue password, and the multi-factor code from the authenticator app again, and confirm with OK.

  1. Close the window with "OK" and return to Outlook:
  2. The best thing to do afterwards is to immediately start a search in the Barracuda archive to check if access is working:
